Introduction to hand spinning

Date to be confirmed 10.30am – 2.30pm

Spend a relaxing day, finding out how to turn fleece into yarn.  During the day there will be demonstrations together with have-a-go opportunities, giving a complete overview of the whole process. You will go home with a drop spindle and the knowledge of how to use it!

Come and be inspired, and discover the satisfaction of making something by hand.

£60 per person, to include drop spindle & fibre, complementary tea, coffee and cake!

 

Introduction to fibre preparation

Date to be confirmed 10.30am – 2.30pm

Come and find out how to sort, wash and prepare a variety of fibres. Discover how to prepare various fleece types and which tools to use.  Go home with a variety of prepared fibres, ready for spinning.

£60 per person, to include fibre & use of equipment, complementary tea, coffee and cake!

 

Introduction to weaving

10.30am to 2.30pm Date of next workshop to be confirmed

Learn how to use a loom and know your warp from your weft!   In this taster workshop learn the principles of weaving, using a rigid heddle loom, and take home your first piece of handwoven cloth.

£60 per person, to include fibre & use of studio looms, complementary tea, coffee and cake!

 

One-to-One Sessions

Daytime and evening sessions available.

Sessions can be booked as 1 to 1, or in a shared class with a friend, or in groups. You can use my equipment or bring your own. I can show you how to spin, use a drum carder, dye, knit, crochet – sessions are tailored around what you would like to learn.

£30 per hour, or book four 1-hour sessions for £100.
